Harvey Jones Student Design Competition

Harvey Jones have been working with a number of universities on their first ever collaborative Student Design competition.

Prior to launching, Harvey Jones created a brief which enabled students to design their very own version of the ‘Pantry Larder’. In regard to guidelines, the brief was fairly open ended, so it really inspired the students to get creative with their projects.

We were fortunate enough to host a judging panel day at the Divertimenti showroom in South Kensington, with a Harvey Jones kitchen on site. Joined by a set of brilliant panel members including Chef Director of Duck & Waffle Dan Doherty, Editor of EKBB magazine Ciara Elliott, Interiors stylist and influencer Lisa Dawson and the Head of Design at Harvey Jones Melissa Klink, the entries were narrowed down to five incredible designs, each as diverse and as imaginative as the next. After many discussions, the winner was decided - with the next step to put the prototype into production.

Having the knowledge of the well-rounded and design-led panel members was a fantastic end to an exciting competition full of young and inspiring talent. Harvey Jones was looking to unearth innovative and interesting new designs and the students most certainly did not disappoint.
