House and Garden Festival 2017: The Style Rooms

Style Room - Interior Style Hunter (Blue Layers Bedroom)

Style Room - The Pink House (The Home Hotel)

Style Room - 2LG Studio (The Kitchen Table)

To celebrate the 70th Anniversary of House & Garden magazine, this year saw the launch of the House & Garden Festival at London’s Olympia. The event served as a fitting celebration of summer and stylish living which combined three events; Spirit of Summer Fair, the HOUSE Fair and Grow London.

One of the festival highlights were the Style Rooms. ‘Beautiful Small Spaces’ was the theme for this year, where three interiors and lifestyle bloggers were given a brief to give their take on one room in the home. Emily Murray, founder and editor of the award-winning interior blog ‘The Pink House’ showcased a boutique design with a touch of hotel luxury. Jordan Cluroe & Russell Whitehead, founders of 2LG Studio created a multifunctional kitchen, ideal for family living. Finally, Grant Pierrus, one of the UK’s top luxury interior design bloggers designed a cosy, inviting bedroom – that featured linens from And So To Bed.

Alongside the inspirational stands and displays, there was food for thought as well as treats for the eyes. Discussions were held on a wide range of topics, including: ‘Colour in the Home’, ‘How to Create Small Beautiful Spaces’ and ‘Dive into Colour’, to name but a few – but certainly giving an indication of what the average visitor is after guidance on at the moment. An excellent afternoon out by all accounts - whether you were taking on a substantial project or just giving your home some finishing touches, there was certainly something for everyone. A must-visit for next year!
